OK my first discovery. there is a warning message on iphone that BT will interfear Wifi connection. Turn off WIFI on phone - and try then. It looks like Wifi if turned on phone 'overtakes' BT. If this is the case ,then OK, because we want BT on bike and dont need wifi on phone at that time. The whole point is to use BT…

Also as aleays iphone hotspot must be enabled, as Tomtom uses iphone bt hotspot. Not wifi!

I have also 14.4 - its fixed. Erase all pairing and pair through app. Pairing is now very straight forward and dont forget to approve the ‘second bt pairing’ during process and return to app to finish.

My god it looks like issues are fixed! The setup for BT is now different and after 3 restarts of rider550 all seems to work. So it confirms TomTom was the problem

I suggest everyone leaves a review on appstore for the Mydrive app with lowest score and warning TO STAY AWAY from Tomtom products and this app. I just did it

There is a tomtom Rider550 device SW update today - however as I stated many times this will probably have no impact on the issue - as long as TomTom doesnot update the app which is the root cause of the problem (its dual BT channel communication). Last update of app is Nov 2019!

Hi if tou look at my workaround few posts back you will see that data works from the start no mater of Ios (traffic and mydrive). Its just impossible to have data and smart features at the same time because for that you need pairing through tomtom app, and if tou do that you are screwed....until they fix BT interface…

Garmin issued update one day after ios12 and has no issue with ios till today. Apple is integrating new things and security features and apps need to adapt. Nothing new in mobile world. Thats why there is developer plan. But tomtom clearly abandoned development of this app

It does not work with iOS 14, and will not work with iOS 15,16,17,18,19......until tomtom changes the communication interface and protocol of the app!!! Its how I found the workaround. Tomtom app is requiring dual BT link. And thats a problem. It might work if you dedicate your phone's BT only and really only to tomtom.…
