  • @SilverLady hi. Sorry for such a late answer but it seems notifications have just started working today for me. I obviously can't know what you bought, but I do know what I did buy. And even if your case is the same as mine, it's the wrong move by TomTom. I did start my own thread about this subject, you can find it here…

  • @VikramK @SilverLady The way I see it, I think then SilverLady has the exact same issue that I have. It's not that there would be camera updates every whatever time, weeks, months, whatever. It's that the info is gone. When we got our devices they came with some info. As we all know, all that info can't be always a 100%…

  • High SilverLady. Yes, your case seems to be even worse than mine if your device came with both subscriptions (UK maps and speed cameras) for life. My case is not exactly the same as it's only the maps (in my case, all of Europe) that have a free lifetime subscription. However, I think it's right to think that if they…

  • Hi. Mine is a GO60 series so I don't know if this will work for you, but I had that same problem a couple of times. I think I solved it by trying with a different USB cable.
  • I commented something similar in a previous thread of mine but had no answer about that particular topic. My GO60 came with lifetime European maps and 3 months for radars or so. That was way back in late 2014, so those 3 months went a way over 5 years ago, of course. However, there was some kind of offer some time after…

  • Thank you man. That's way, way more than I could expect, although it's a bit not efficient to me. I mean, it's tidy, it looks good, but as I think you are saying, it's a bit of time you need to set it up so you're not actually saving time if you add it all up. But it's really, really nice to know and thank you very much…
  • Hi @YamFazMan Sorry again for not replying sooner but, again, I received no notification. Interestingly enough, I took a look at my account settings and, surprise, they were not enabled, which is odd as I had never, ever, ever, disabled them. Anyway, I checked the boxes for notifications (all of them but one about…
  • Hi YamFazMan (nice bike BTW ;) ) First of all, I'm sorry to reply a week later but, somehow, notifications don't reach my e-mail account. However, promotions and offers from Tomtom do reach. And I don't remember I have changed anything as I hardly ever visit this forum to be honest. I'll check both my Tomtom and e-mail…
  • Well, not that I like to bump my own threads up but it's been 10 days and no answer, not even a bad one. Anyone? Thank you.
  • I had something similar with my GO60 a couple of years ago, as I posted here https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/discussion/1041256/updating-maps-v10-20-europe-on-an-infinite-loop#latest I can't remember what exactly solved the problem, as it's not clear from what I wrote, but maybe trying with a different USB cable could…
  • Funny! I left the GO60 plugged, since I saw that someone had said it had eventually worked. So I went and watched some videos. And just after a few minutes, I realised the navigator had the screen saying "the update has been finished, ACCEPT" or something like that. I tapped on it and it's installed correctly. I don't know…
  • Well, things have changed but still not much. I can't remember all the things I've done already, but since it was failing over and over again to update, I went and cleared the cache (which is funny since I had reinstalled MyDrive again) and now there was this message on top of the app with a black background saying…
  • Well, I've tried a few things and it still won't update, although it's a different thing now. I noticed that MyDrive said there was like 4GB free in the SD card, although it had not finished the process. At once it also said it had 2GB free. So I took the card out and read it in the laptop, which said it was empty. I don't…
  • I'm starting to think it's MyDrive what's not working properly. I've done a reset to the device by holding the On button for a few seconds (it played the bongos, then an MS-DOS-like window appeared with data info about the device, then the start up screen showed up again and the bongos again.) But it turns out that…
  • Thank you, but as far as I know, that's not the problem I'm having. If I've read that correctly, that article is about making MyDrive detect the device after an update. And that is something that I had to do, or something similar, last year (I believe that article is from last year if I saw the right date). But it's been…
  • There's a problem with that. Since the installation process did actually began (although never going beyond 20%, it seems it goes a littler further now but far from finishing anyway) there's no map in the device now. So, there's only this message on the screen telling me that and that I should try and install whatever map…
  • Thank you for your support. In both subjects. I'll try and see what happens. Thank you!
  • @Niall I thank you for your effort but I think that doesn't work for me. First of all, what you show is not what I have in MyDriveConnect, it just doesn't exactly allow me to choose zones that way, but to choose which zones I will have "with full 3D buildings" and which not. But anyway, even if it did allowed me to do it…
  • That's precisely the point, not being able to split the map across both memories. Unrelated to this, I took the 8GB sd card out and installed a 16GB one. I had some trouble reinstalling the map again. It kind of needed a second try. I had previously updated to the "only local buildings but the whole of the European map"…
  • Yes, but that makes the memory in the navigator itself completely pointless, mostly useless. It makes no sense at all having 6+GB if you just can't use it. Unless my way of thinking is mistaken, which could be but I don't see how, most users will have the map for their country or, as it is in my case, the one that came…
  • Thank you for answering, but that is really disappointing. Not that I didn't expect it before, but it's utterly disappointing. What good is having over 6GB internal memory if, once your map goes beyond that, you just can't use it? it's... it's useless! literally! And annoying, very annoying. It shouldn't be that hard to…
