I haven't done it but my partner took my printout of this thread and successfully entered two locations. Thanks! I don't know which of the two instruction-versions was the one that "answered the question" but one or the other did.

@YamFazMan yes after several excursions into the local community, I can verify that the instructions you gave for tapping the "^" icon three times works as described, and now we can get the display to behave the way we want, reliably.
