Thank you, I can see your crash in our crash reporting tool. I will inform the team.

Hi @grof , thank you for this feedback. I will report improvement to change naming of avoid types. I agree that this is very confusing at the moment. EDIT: We have this already planned under GONAV-3011 (internal ticket). At the moment I can't provide information when improvement about naming in avoid screen will be…

@grof , just to confirm (I have changed departure point), you have taken this route: instead of proposed one depicted below: But this is again according to our route planning algorithm. A20 is controlled-access highway.

Thanks @Kuba7702 , I will share your response with our support team, since your workaround might be also usable for others.

Hi @Hakitaki , Thank you for reporting this. If possible, please share your AppID (can be found in About Screen). We will check what crashes are reported to our crash reporting tool.

Application should work OK if the SD card is configured as an external memory and not extension to internal phone memory. Our app will download maps to external SD card if the SD card has more free storage than internal memory of the phone. Redmi 8A has 32 GB of internal storage, it should be enough to keep application…

Hi @Kuba7702, welcome to the forum. Most probably you are facing issue related to adoptable storage that we are investigating in scope of GONAV-4296 (which is our internal ticket for tracking).
-
Thank you. Just to confirm here, you have selected option in Settings to avoid motorways?
-
Hi @grof , may I ask for more precise route that has been used (coordinates of departure and destination)? We want to check this case.

Please check if this discussion is related to your problem: https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/discussion/1142704/gps-issue-with-android-auto#latest

Thanks @grof , I will pass your message to the dev team.

At the moment we don't plan to change it. We will monitor how many users mention discrepancies and decide upon that.
-
This particular crash should be fixed.

Hi @myvanhashiddenpower , welcome to the forum! I will check with the team.

In our case, whenever you select to avoid highways, we will avoid everything that meets the definition of the "controlled-access highway": (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controlled-access_highway) In some cases, it may cause discrepancies, as one observed here. I'm open for further questions regarding this topic.

I'm checking with developers. My investigation shows that route that we propose is more or less the same (with selected avoids) as in AmiGO, whereas in Google Maps, proposed route barely changes when selecting option to "avoid highways".
-
Hi @grof , May I ask for exact departure point to check this issue. I understand that destination is Penzance town.
-
Hi, unfortunately no update about this request.
-
It's our internal ticket for tracking. I have checked with devs. There is nothing that can be done, most probably Google Calendar app has hard coded link to Google Maps. I have also checked with other navigation apps (Sygic, Yandex, Yanosik), and none of these apps were listed when clicking address from calendar…

Hi @FlorisMK , welcome to the forum! I will check with the team. I have reported GONAV-4804. Please also check what happens if you disable Google Maps app in Android apps settings. From my own experience I can tell that some of the apps hard-code Google Maps intents.

Hi @kasperx80 , I have checked with devs, and this is the rule for keeping the app active: If this rule is not met, we will let the system close the application to save battery power. In other words:

Hi @Ubuntu , just to be sure, have you compared search results after waiting for 6 seconds (with online search enabled) to results when you disable online search? I want to be absolutely sure that you get results from onboard search.
-
Hi @dezmo , issue has been reported to Search team. Ticket is in their backlog. Unfortunately I don't have any information about the date.
-
Hi @pbeverly, welcome to the forum. Would it be possible to share some screens to better visualise your issue?
-
Hi, this is expected behaviour. Application will be not closed from recents when you are driving. I can confirm following from @dezmo
