I've got the same problem. Found out that the two left pins in the cradle of the usb-cable were in in stead of out so they couldn't connect with the watch. I pulled them out a little with a wooden sateh stick and it worked again. I fear the problem will occur again. Can the cradle be replaced, can I buy a new one?
Syncing via iPhone wasn't a problem ever. Now I have a LG V30 and my watch (cardio and music) doesn't sync anymore. It does on my iMac though. But frustrating anyway.
