I have also developed this problem today, although I have been using my camera for about an hour a day (my commute on motorbike) for 15 months or so. I have contacted TomTom customer service via the warranty page and I assume that the batt stick is covered by the 2 year warranty. I'll be more than a little upset if it…

Full low level format of card in pc/laptop cured this problem for me. As described above.

I ride a Transalp wearing a white helmet with my bandit on top and a very official looking yellow vest - I've lost count of the number of drivers who've dropped their mobile phones of slowed down considerably when they have seen me looking at them. It's become a little game now.

The low level format cured the fault in was suffering as recording stopped altogether after 1 or 2 minutes. I suspect that the unit will record in 4gb blogs regardless of the file system used. It doesn't worry me too much I only record for insurance purposes and to embarrass poor drivers rather than as a record of any kind…

The segment size is related to the fat file system. Trying and xfat format might allow a longer segment. I had to complete a low level format as camera was stopping after one of two minutes.

Have someone with a pc or laptop do a complete format form you.

You need to do a full low level format of your sd card on your pc and not in the camera. That solved the problem for me.

I also would appreciate a clip to stop rotationn.

Hi I had this problem of camera bleeping and stopping after a few minutes. "check sd card" message and in camera format etc with no success. Resorted to full low level format in pc - as in not quick format, which is what the camera does - takes a while with a 64gb card but appears to have solved the problem.
