  • On my KTM 1290 SAS the XT has really bad GPS reception. I know on the Triumph and Yamaha Tracer this problem is even worse. So its not Triumph only. And why do both my phone and Rider 550 work on the same spot. I did not have to measure the calcula…
  • You can sync a track using MyDrive using WiFi or your phone connection. Bluetooth sharing between Riders or PC is removed in the Rider 550. It is also possible to use the option to save as - TomTom MyDrive in MyRoute App for the Rider. But you can’…
  • Its better to use the "Share" options in MyDrive to share tracks. This works both in the MyDrive App and the Web version. Even non TomTom users can use a track shared this way.
  • Some extra info; In MyRoutes a Track has dots in the line (Image) (imported as .GPX or Send as track in MyDrive) And a Route a real line (imported as .ITN or Send Stops) http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/Rider_Wi-Fi/html/en-us/index.htm#…
  • All GPX files on a Rider will become a Track A track is an highly detailed description of the path to follow. This uses a "breadcrumbs" like path with many trackpoints. A route only uses a few Routepoints so there is more room for differe…

  • Not 100% sure but I think this is the Fuse. (Image) Can you check the resistance? It should be very low if it is a working fuse. If the resistance is very high it can be your defective fuse. Make sure to use a max 2A Fuse in the main 12V line w…

  • You can already see the roadblock when traffic is on when you load the Track. It is also visible in the route bar. So you have more then enough time to find a alternative. An ITN route is only the solution when there is not a Stop at the blocked ro…
  • You have to create a new route or Edit an existing route to get the Send Destination or Send Stops option. Be aware just 20 stops are supported. (Image) You can also use "Sent ITN Route" on mij website to send a GPX or ITN route to your…
  • Open the USB and Micro-SD lids and place it in a dry place for a number of days. When wrapped in paper towel with lids open you can also place te rider in dry rice. I also advice you to contact the seller or customer service for a free replacement…
  • Charge it 3 hours with a 2A or more USB charger. And test again.
  • Sadly not possible. Two workarounds. When you transfer a route as Route your Rider will inform you of every stop. Only the route between stops can be different with every route preference setting. You can use u Rout by using the "Send Destinat…

  • On some other fora people report stable connections using iOS 14 with the TomTom Rider 550 during the first tests. So it looks like Apple has fixed this issue in iOS 13.
