I've just been directed here from this thread: When will iOS TomTom GO and MyDrive support what3words?
It is disgusting that the TomTom press team can release such lies that what3words will be available for both Consumer and Automotive customers when moderators of the official TomTom forum say that TomTom has no plans to release what3words for the consumer products.
I know, I read it when it was published.
We don't have a confirmation for this yet, especially for the consumer products.
If there is any news, I will surely announce it here..

"I am a recent convert to what3words. Although you can’t input the word string directly, there is a way to use it on my TomTom GO (iPhone).
Using the what3words App to gain the word string, you then select Navigate.
The App then asks which Navigation App you wish to use, which includes a TomTom option (along with Google Maps and Apple Maps).
If you select TomTom, it opens the App and loads the route. Perfect 👍"
If you have MyDrive on your phone, this will come up as an option when you select navigate in the What3Words app, and once you have done that you can send the destination from MyDrive to a TomTom Go, in my case a 5200.
As an aside, I have had a much bigger battery drain when using a bluetooth connection between my phone and the Go5200 instead of just using the built in 2G mobile data connection. The MyDrive app appears to be the culprit which you have to use to set up the bluetooth connection between the phone and the 5200 and this is on a Samsung S8 Android phone. Uninstalling MyDrive cured the battery drain problem.
