Installation of purchased world map

I live in the UK. Going on a road trip to USA. I purchased a world map from TomTom to use my device in the USA. When I switch on my device (in the UK) there is no USA mapping available. Have I missed an installation step?

Welcome to the community!
After you finished installing the map, you need to select the map on the device.
