Apple Carplay: instruction icon on dashboard

in TomTom GO Navigation app for iPhone
When I use Apple maps in Apple Carplay, there are also instruction icons on the dashboard. See image.
With TomTom I don't see this information. Is this missing functionality? I could not find a setting to toggle this.

    Can you take a picture while using the TomTom app? We'll understand better what it shows in the space you highlighted.

    It then shows internal car information: time elapsed since start of journey.

    Is there nobody that can help with this issue? Can somebody from TomTom explain if the iPhone app can support this or will support this in the future?

    I talked to support at TomTom and they told me that this functionality is currently not available. They have passed it on to the dev-team. Fingers crossed.
