Dreaded "item was not valid after installation" message

Was updating my newly acquired GO 630 I wanna use where phones just don't seem to work and after the update I get this error. I've formatted and reinstalled all other updates except the map and it goes swimmingly. It's the map update that won't go through. Any help would be appreciated. From what I've read on here I need to wait for someone to activate a map for me. So I'm patiently waiting. Thanks in advance.

The Go 630 is a very old GPS with 1 and 2 GB of internal memory which is no longer supported by Tomtom so if you bought this device recently it's not a bargain.0

It was given to me and it takes an SD card which I have installed. Was working before the update. Just hoping I can reload the old map for the small area I need out for. Out in the country.0

Welcome to the community!
A map has been activated for your TomTom. Since the version is old, I am not sure if it's still available on our servers.
Could you connect the device and check for updates in TomTom HOME.
