Has anyone in the UK ordered a new TOMTOM device then been hit with UPS charge?

Hi learned forum, I recently upgraded to a new TOMTOM unit, which UPS left on the doorstep but anyway. Today I receive a letter from UPS demanding payment within 7 days of the letter, already at day 8! So what appeared a good deal now is not and at NO time was there any indication on ordering of possible further charges. Trying to get in touch with TOMTOM itself is proving impossible. Any ideas please?

Normally you don't need to pay any extra charge contact Tomtom customer service.1 -

Managed to get hold of TOMTOM support via email, they say UPS issue. Called UPS they say speak to TOMTOM.....what a mess0

Still not resolved but Help team are being very helpful, I just dont want UPS causing me issues due to an unpaid bill which in my view and that of others is nothing to do with me0
