NO MAP SHOWING AFTER UPDATE

Hi, there were several updates over past 2 days on my Essential but device worked fine. Today I have device up in flat and it refuses to show any maps, and when I hit HOME it says NO ITINERARY POSSIBLE (in French) and when I hit any other destination I get white or black screen. HELP!!

    Hi

    If the battery is dead, charge your GPS for 2 hours on a mains charger

    Reset the device to factory settings.

    To add a card
    Select Add card on your device.
    Select a card from the list.

    If you are unable to install the map via wi-fi, try installing it via Mydrive connect.

    I am not sure if what you sent me is actually a reply to my question?

    I have made some progress - apparently my main map FRANCE got unselected during recent update so it now shows.

    However, after voice announces TIME ARRIVAL, at top of screen "C'est parti" (YOU'RE OFF) - to left of steering wheel, doesn't disappear and just hangs there

    I walk around my flat a bit with device in hand as if I were driving car - but nothing happens

    any comment?

    I'll have to test in car anyhow

    In your apartment already the GPS does not pick up the satellites the best is to try to plan a route then to try this route in your car
    On Go ESSENTIAL, is it not possible to see the route in demo mode?

    thanks - well, I'm on the top floor (4th) and it is picking up GPS (as it knows my location), it would seems, as it knows my location, it's just that nothing happens after woman says YOU WILL ARRIVE...

    Would there be an symbol to say it is not picking up GPS??

    As for "demo mode", I haven't a clue what that is

    Re... Has the device received a Satellite Lock ???
    If the small Satellite Dish is being displayed on the Traffic Bar....
    This equates to No Satellite Lock... The device will display your designated 'Home' location....
