When I bought my device I was led to believe that speed camera alerts were for life

The functionality of TomTom models has changed, speed camera services are linked to a subscription. When a speed camera subscription expires, the TomTom device stops issuing alerts.1

The subscription was for life, have Tom Tom changed their policy and see this as a money making scheme, they have not informed me of the change to the original terms . Surely they are legally bound to honour existing agreements0

The Via 130 has no lifetime radar updates
there is only the card which is for life on certain model0 -
Hi
@robertw298
Welcome to the site....
There has been a change in the Speed cam subscriptions... The Tomtom subscriptions now 'Auto Renew' by default....
You were probably still using the out-of-date/obsolete speed cam database from the initial 'x' Months free trial when you purchased the device...
Note... If your subscription has expired you will NOT get any Speed cam warning on the device, even the old database is still installed on the device....
See T&C's 4.2 Subscriptions, renewals and Free Trials...
