Hello,

An iOS update 2.7.2 was just released today. Below are the release notes:
  • Carplay dashboard should now work when there is no route planned
  • 'Always take the fastest route' setting is now back
Best, lampard

BTW for anyone who doesn't see this update available it's possible to force the update by actually viewing TomTom GO Navigation in the App Store when you will be offered the update.

Can you fix the frequent mispronunciation of common english place names by the app voice Serena that has become more frequent since the 2.7.x updates. They aren't so important when you can guess what is being said, but it can be seriously distracting when you in unfamiliar surroundings and relying on clear directions.
On a short journey yesterday from London (UK) to Oxford, we were amused by the attempts at Oxford, Birmingham and Woodstock (which came out as something like 'Woadstk'). Thankfully, we weren't on our way to Wales!

There is definitely a problem with Serena. It's very noticeable if there is an "R" which gets pronounced as "RI" eg North is pronounced as Norith or Parsons as Parisons.

How have these mispronunciations been allowed to slipped through? Any native English speaker would immediately notice the problem. Don't Tomtom have the equivalent of proofreaders?
