Transfer account to apple phone from android possible?

Hi, I have the tomtom app on my Samsung S7 and I think about getting an iphone 12. Can I use tomtom on apple phone with the subscription I started under android ?

    The standard answer from TT is that it can't be done since handled by 2 different stores.

    On the other hand, this answer indicates that it is still possible to buy a subscription independent from a specific store.

    I've raised the above several times already, but nobody seems to bother to clarify things, which is a pity
