Go Discover zoom not working

I have just upgraded to a new Go Discover and find that the zoom function does not work when approaching roundabouts and junctions. I have tried all zoom settings and none make any difference. My old TT worked fine so why does this new one not work?

    For some reason the Zoom Function seems to have started to work properly after doing a reset and switch off and on again.

    Zoom & orientation
    Adjust Auto map zoom settings to your preference. Select between:
    + Zoom in at instructions
    + Zoom based on road type
    + No auto zoom
    Adjust Map orientation by choosing between 3D, 2D or 2D, north up.

    Resetting the GPS made no real difference. There seems to be some small amount of zoom now but does not zoom in enough on roundabouts like my old TT did. A friend of mine has just bought the Go Essentials model and this zooms right in at roundabouts.
