TomTom Go Android app "cannot connect to server"

JUNE 2021 : I've uninstalled the app, deleted the files on the SD card, reinstalled the app, my WiFi is perfect and STILL the app can't download my maps.

    As I expected, no difference. So I uninstall AGAIN and reinstall AGAIN and I get this really helpful message:-

    SOMETHING WENT WRONG.

    FINALLY after seven reinstalls, it's sprung back into life and the Android TomTomGO is working normally.

    I have found out what was wrong. The new SD card was faulty. The shop changed it and everything is working again.

    Quite strange that faulty SD card was causing such error.
    Good to hear that it is solved now.
