TomTom Rider 550 screen no contrast

Help! Just bought a second hand rider 550.
When I turn the screen on it is very bright with no contrast. So colors without contrast. I already did a factory reset but still the screen is without contrast. Is this a hardware fault? or a software fault? Better return the rider to the seller or is there a solution to fix the screen problem? Do more people have this isue?

    Welcome to the site....
    The only screen display adjustments are here...
    Check... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> Display....
    Theme colour.... I use Cosmic blue
    Map Colour... I use normal
    Day Brightness I use 100%... Night 20%
    The viewing angle of the screen can be critical....

    No my friend has the rider 500 and the screen has contrast and bright colors. When I start up my rider 550 the screen has no contrast and very fade colors very light display. I already try different settings. Is the screen broken? Or software problem? I already did a reset.

    I have my Rider Theme Colour set at Lucky Lime, Map Colour set at Normal, Brightness set for Day 45% and Night 55%.

    The colour contrast does tend to be slightly strong.

    As you can see no contrast.

    Those screenshots don’t look good and as you have stated that you have already performed a factory reset and compared it against your friends Rider, it does indeed appear there is a problem with the display.
    What settings for the display do you have the Rider set at?.

    day 50% till 100% but still no contrast. No other users had the same problem? Maybe software mistake. Anyway I will talk to the seller to take it back.
