Cant connect Go 1005 to MacBook Pro 2020

I followed a TomTom video on how to correct this problem which sent me through to preferences and network where my device is listed but red lighted so I followed the instructions to press the advanced option and then renew lease but it still will not connect no address is shown for the device and its still red

It seems you already have tried the basic troubleshooting steps on our support article.
Are you using a TomTom supplied USB cable to connect the device?
If it's the original cable, then I would advise that you report this to our customer service for further guidance.

I tried the original through a hub, didn't work I have a cable with a USB-c connector which fits the Go directly (without the base) which I know to be good. Ive used to program IOT equipment, which still does not connect.
I have noticed on the preferences/network screen that there is an Android 2 connection shown which disappears when I disconnect the Go?0 -
I need help with the problem, does anybody have any idea
