Can you change the operating system?

The interface on my most recent TomTom, a Start 52, is different from the others I own. Seems to be a completely different OS, and I absolutely HATE IT. Is it possible to get one of the earlier operating systems on this device?

    Hi and welcome to the Forum where TomTom users help each other.

    The OS cant be changet on the devices. Somtimes a Drumreset can help.
    Press the on button about 20sec til the device starts agin with the Drumsound.

    Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I've tried drum resets many time, with no improvement. I wonder if part of the issue is everything being stored on my device, and the SD card being completely empty.
