Rider 550 no voice turn by turn commands tomtom

Is about to TomTom Rider 550
I had the proper voice selected ( Samantha ) to read out any turn by turn directions.
It did not read any turn-by-turn at all.
Please advise what I can possibly do to solve this problem.
If I was to do a factory reset on the 550 would my rides that are saved on my computer (my drive) be removed as well?? I don't even know if that will fix the problem at this point.

    You need the TTS Computer Voice here in the UK it's Serena or Malcolm for spoken Street names....
    Check... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> Voice....
    Choose a Voice > Serena

    Are any 'Sound Icons' slashed through ??? It’s really easy to turn off a Sound Icon when swiping through the Menus
