I have a built in navigation in my Mazda CX5. TomTOM Connect is not recognising the SD Card

All previous updates have been successful. I decided to update. I followed the usual process. I even downloaded the TomTom Connect app/software from scratch as its a new computer. But for some reason the SD Card reader which seems to be working fine is not even registering on the TOMTOM Connect app. The navigation system in the car seems is still working perfectly before this attempt and is still working fine now although I have not been able to update the card.

THanks for that. I have actually done that already. The App is now actually opening however, it gets stuck (I have had to force quite at least 10 times) throughout the updating process. So I have unchecked all the updates except the essential ones - so I have pretty unchecked all the new voiceovers- and it is still freezing throughout the update process.

Also, I have done the delete loopdir step twice prior to getting my mac to read the card and twice since it has started to read the card but is crashing. So far, it hasn't helped. So basically it get stuck updating the maps - in particular at the step where it transfers the updates to the Card step (or something like that)....0
