update frozen tomtomxl -any suggestion?

can't complete the installation update in mydrive connect for tomtom xl -it is frozen on imac, non computer issue have tried reboot..any suggestions?
also is there a conact phone number for this compnay as the bots are unpersonal
also is there a charge for the update? as we had a horrendous and dangerous experince with this machine from when we opened the box and used it ...
please can you help -kindest regards

Hi @kate111
With so many working from home during the current situation there is no Phone Line Customer Support. I would suggest that you try the Chat facility.
Try the following:-
Tap Support at the top of this page
Sign in Top Right of next Page. (you have to do this)
When signed in Tap Contact Us bottom right
Help Box appears and after a few seconds Get in Touch also appears
Tap Get in Touch
You are now offered Chat or Email. If Chat is closed it will tell you the hours that it will be available.
Chat is busy you may have to try a few times.
If you cannot get the above to work try another Web Browser.
Be aware that many of the XL models have been declared obsolete as per the attached schedule..
