Original but old Tomtom SD Card - Can I use it for the map upgrade purposes

Hi guys,
I do have an old tomtom sd card with Europe maps (version 9.xxx). I would like to purchase the latest version of the map, but the question is do I need to buy a new SD Card (class 10), or I can use this one regardless on the fact that the card is most likely from the 2014y?

Welcome to the community! As long as the memory card is in good condition you should be able to install new maps using TomTom HOME.
