Deleted my map on Via 1650

connected to myDrive connect with my Via 1650. it showed me 2 updates. map share and map updates. device message says Updating...
couple of hours later message says something went wrong. restarted device, says no map found. restarted mydrive and now it says device is no longer supported. it offered me to buy a replacement.
I had the old map working on the via1650 and then my drive connect destroyed the map. Tomtom maliciously bricked my device and now it is only good to be used as a paperweight. Tomtom what are you going to do about this screwup? You should install the old map so I can still use it.

Sorry about the delay in response! I've removed the partial from fro the SD card in the device. To apply these changes, remove the memory card > format to FAT32 > Re-insert in the device > Soft reset (Press down the on/off button for 30 seconds until it makes a drum sound) and follow the steps below:1.Click the MyDrive Connect icon in the Windows notification area or Apple menu bar and then click 'Settings icon' > Quit (Make sure the device is disconnected)Hope it helps!
2.Press the Windows logo key +R
3.Type Appdata > Hit Enter/Ok
4.click on Local
5.Open the TomTom Folder in Local
6.Delete HOME3 and Open MyDrive connect again.
7.When your device is turned on, connect the device to the computer.
8.On MyDrive Connect in the right bottom corner, it will say 'updating’. Keep it connected till says up-to-date and check for the updates again to download the map on the SD card.
