HI
Sorry for my bad english and the big pictures. Maybe a workaround for you
You can show chargingstations on the map. Tap Menu/Settings/Map and viev/Show on map/special destinations/more categories
Now the charging stations should be visible on the map
Plan a rout to your destination and then tap Menu/Gas stations. You see following pic.
Then change in the fielt "Gas Station" to "charging station"
Now the charging Station was shown along the Rout and you can add it to your current rout"
Sorry for the german screenshots and the eventualy wrong translations but i think you know what i mean. Good luck.
Edit: Another Way
Plan a route, tap Menu/Search/Along the route/
Then serach the categories for Chargingstations and the list with available chargingstations shoud show you to select.
Yes thats right. The screenshots are from the new App TomTom Navigation.
With the old app Go Mobile 1.18.1 it is not possible.
The Routplanner from Tomtom knows charging stations but I haven't been able to logically integrate them into an unknown route. https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb/
Maybe it is also a help if you import a poi list with charging stations. Then you can also search for them in the old app
TomTom has neglected the EV drivers the past years. Strange, as the company is established in the Netherlands that has about the most charging stations in the EU per square km . The easiest way for them is to join forces with a company that makes apps like A Better Router Planner, and embed that in the TT products, in order for EV drivers can set which car they drive and the average kWh/km they use.
Meanwhile, I would be jumping from excitement if they make it possible to show the EV chargers in the short overview like they now show gas stations along the route. It should be very simple to add it and keep the gas stations as they also provide facilities for EV drivers like shop, bathroom, parking space to rest on long journeys.
As I said on my response to your similar question on another post Tomtom do have EV chargers on the PND units like the GO5200 you list in your profile. You can set them to be viewable on the Map At the moment they are not able to be shown in the Route Bar.
Only displaying EV chargers on the map is not a good solution.
What I need is display only fast DC chargers in the routebar to be able to charge on a long journey.
Display EV chargers at the finish (and stops) just like the parking options.
It will also be nice to check if the EV charger is still available. Where I live there are about 26 EV chargers in a 500 meter radius and growing because many times the are used.
To be really useful it needs an option to enter your EV Mobility Card(s) and display charging rates based on your EV Mobility Cards and display the cheapest card to use.

This is just one of them.

plus their website

I see later that most GPS apps will have full coverage of EV charging stations around the world.
It will fit everyone's needs depending on the car you have.
Right now it is catch up time for everyone and the lack of EV stations at every hotel or parking garage and work parking lots.
These will be needed sooner that later.
