Lost activation code

Took it out of box and never looked for activation code. I bought it from ebay so can't update maps

    Unless you bought a device which is 15 years old, you do not need any activation code.

    Could you please telle me what is your device?

    Hi Jim sorry for the delay replying. I bought it on the 16th August 2019, it is a
    Tomtom VIA 135 Full Europe cost £109.95 advert said it has free map updates but cant seem to get past activation code request Cheers Bill
