Installing the map updates, how long?

Just downloaded updates to the UK maps and after 30 minutes, TomTom GO is still installing them. How long i this going to take because I'd actually like to drive somewhere!

    It depend of the speed of your connection ; i have the fiber and it take 40 minutes for the full Europe (more than 9.0 GB).

    @miketorcy It had already downloaded them - this was installing! I eventually gave up and closed and reopened Tomtom GO and it seemed fine so I suspect a bug just leave the message up and the screen frozen :-(.
