Hi, I cannot get voice control working on my Tomtom Go 6200 it says 'Voice control cannot be used with your display language' Device was bought in Switzerland and is used there. Voice currently selected is 'Jane'

Jane is a Recorded English (UK) voice. Firstly you need to download a Computerised voice, which for example in English (UK) is Serena or Malcolm, to enable Voice Control. The use of a Computerised voice also adds the ability to have more directional information such as when you approach a Cameras, I know not in Switzerland, it will tell you there is a camera and what type. It also can read out road names.
You need to know what language your unit is set for and then select the Computerised voice for that setting if there is one.
By the way Computerised voices tend to be at the top of the list of available voices so ensure you have scrolled all the way up.

In future log into the forum using the same account as the TT unit. That way the Mods when they look you up will also see what unit you have .
Click on this @VikramK and you will go to his profile You will see top left a Message option. Click on that and tell him I have asked you to send your Units serial number, you could also tell him what your account is for the unit, and ask if he add Serena and Malcolm to your units account. The serial number is on a label on the bottom of the unit and also if you turn the unit on and when ready hold the ON/OFF button down until you see a screen with white writing you will find the serial number there.
Be quick otherwise it will definitely be Monday.

Tap Menu
Tap Settings
Tap Language and Units
Tap language and it will show what the unit is set for. You can try changing it to English (UK) if its not already on that if that is what you want. You Tap on the current language displayed and you get a list.
Regarding getting the required voices when you have decided what Language you want the unit to work with then advise here and we can ask one of the Mods to add the appropriate voices to your account so you can add them to the unit.

It is currently set to langauage = English (UK) Country = Switz.
I want the unit to work with English voice control so please provide Mods to enable this.
I have account with TOMTOM mydrive is the Mod downloaded there or on to this Forum?

I assume the account you use the GO6200 on is the same as you log on to in this forum.
Hopefully @VikramK can add the voices today otherwise it will be Monday before he will be back on the forum.

I have sent him your suggestions and my details. Now waiting for a response.

The Voice control now works fine.
