I want to buy the Tomtom 930 model, but I need to check an important point.

I'm going to use it to travel through many different time zones. Will I need to manually update the time and date in the this satnav itself, or will it use the time / date from the GPS?

Seperatly, will my internal time and date auto update to the local time zone as I cross time zones?

    Hi @Fred12366

The GO920 is a very old model and those with a Serial number starting MB are no longer supported by Tomtom and if it is one of the latter you will not be able to buy maps or get updates for it. GO920 models were being reviewed in 2008.
Unless the unit concerned was originally sold with Lifetime Maps it is likely to be very out of date and you will not be able to get updated Camera or Traffic data..

Current models sync their time to where they are via the Sat links.

Sorry it was a typo, i meant to say 930, not 920, i've updated my question to reflect.

    Hi @Fred12366

Same remarks as I made before except the Serial number would be J6. Again GO939T models reviewed in 2008.
