SuperuserHi @Vaks
Try a Soft Reset.Ie Turn the unit on and when ready Hold the On/Off button down for about 20 seconds plus until you hear the drumroll sound then let the button go. The unit will restart.
If that does not work then the next option is a Factory Reset. Check that all your MyPlaces are saved in your account by logging into it on the My Drive webpage. If it is all there then with the unit well charged
Tap Menu
Tap Settings
Tap System
Tap Reset Device.
You will now have to set the unit up again as you did when you first got it in the meantime the current Operating Software and Map versions in the device will not have been changed. When the unit next connects to your My Drive account all your My Places etc will be restored.

Hi Doug,
Thank you for your help. By holding down the On/Off button for some seconds solved the problem. The unit is back to normal - great!

Glad you are sorted. It is worth remembering that doing a Soft Reset after you have finished any updates, which are best done individually, that you then do a Soft Reset to just tidy up all the files.
