Cannot access purchased update for Renault Carminat (SD Card)

Hello all, I've just purchased the latest update shown as available for my Renault Carminat system. I have only the SD Card from the car. I managed to update it last year but this year is not so successful. My device is shown in TomTom Home but when I plug in the SD card it states there is no system to update. I get the same message with MyDrive connect. I've tried various computers and readers. It really should not be this difficult. Any advice please ..
