Hi @Geoff_123
it appears the Start 52 lite is an Amazon exclusive unit and you have to pay for all cameras and map updates. The Start 52 is the standard model and you get 3 months free cameras but you get free lifetime map updates. Maps are updated quarterly.
Be aware there is a problem with Postcode search on the Start models ,, including the Start 52, as the device does not have the Quick search option but the Step by Step search only . This can cause problems finding Postcodes especially in rural areas. All other non Start TomTom models do not have this issue.

HI
@Geoff_123
Further to Doug's post....
If you use a lot of Postcodes I wouldn't buy Start 42/52/62 for use in the UK
The Step by Step Search engine... Has a long standing problem for Postcode searches using the Step by Step engine... You have to enter a road/street name to execute a search ???
Why.... If you know the road/street name and a house number you don't need the Postcode
Most people use a Postcode because they don't know the road/street name and house number
Isolated farms, Single building, Office blocks, Retail parks, Hospitals, New builds etc...
For me it renders the latest the Step by Step Search engine useless for postcodes in the UK
Stay Safe... ATB YFM0
