High data consumption

If I use Amigo in overlay mode (over something like Google Maps) I see data consumption by Amigo is quite high even though I'm not using its maps or navigation. It's almost as if maps are being downloaded/updated in background as I drive anyway.

Is this what's happening and can data consumption be reduced when I'm just using it for speed camera alerts?

    Hi @Wibbly

Thank you for reporting this! We're aware that AmiGo is taking up more data in general, and this is already being looked into.

    Regards, lampard

Is this supposed to fixed yet? Data consumption still seems high, even in overlay mode where there is no map to display...

This should actually not be the case in overlay mode since no map is used then. What amount of data consumption are we talking about?
