If you have downloaded the 'Charging Station' update file....
You can display Charging Station Icons on the map... See below
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> Appearance --> Show POI Lists on the Map....
Scroll down to 'Charging Station' Tap Show
Tap the Blue ( ^ ) Icon... Screen top right to exit....

Or Installing 3rd party POI Categories...
You use the MyDrive Web Route planner
Here... https://mydrive.tomtom.com
See Tomtom Video... How to import POIs, GPX files and Favourites in MyDrive
Displaying Personal POIs on the Driving View/Map Be aware... You can't install the POI associated .BMP files
You can only use the 5 Tomtom supplied generic Icons....
But you can use one icon for for more than one POI category i.e... place all your fuel categories under one Icon, then if you tap on a nearby 'say' Fuel Icon a Quick menu opens --> Tap the 3Dot Icon for more options & more Information
Setup... After installing your Personal or 3rd party POIs....Tap 4Dot (....Menu) --> Settings --> Appearance --> Show POI lists on the Map
It says a restart is required, but I've never found it to be necessary
After choosing the Generic Icon.. Tap the coloured (^) Icon screen top right... Pinch zoom the Map, the Generic POI Icons all appear live and working
Note... The Generic POI Icons disappear when the Map is highly zoomed out (I guess so you can scroll around a clear Map to find your location)
The Icon reappear as you zoom back in again
The POI Icons only show on the Maps (Not available on Traffic Bar)
The Charging Station POI Icons do appear on the 2D & 3D Driving view Map....
GO Premium 2D View running a route demo.... GO Premium 3D View running a route demo.... To search on the Map for a POI Icon...
Tap on the direction of Travel Icon, above the + and - Signs
To toggle between the North-up Overview Planning Map and the Driving Map view chosen in the Setting menus i.e... 2D in direction of travel or 3D
The direction of Travel Icon is thinner more pointed in the 2D in direction of travel or 3D Driving view
Maybe @VikramK could pick this up and pass it on as a suggestion to the designers as an improvement if they can add the Charging Stations as an option that can be added for display in the Route Bar as Rest Areas, Petrol Stations etc are.
@DougLap That would be a great idea. @VikramK With my go5100 the charging stations are shown in 2d but not in 3d drive mode.
In Setting --> Appearance --> Show POI Lists on the Map....
"Charging Station' states "Show"
(Snip) My Go 5100 the charging stations are shown in 2d but not in 3d drive mode (Snip)
+1... I can confirm the NAV4 devices only show Charging Station POI Icons on the 2D Driving view Map....
I think this problem may go back a long way, the NAV4 devices have always shown more details on the 2D Maps than the 3D Maps....
There were many complaints about missing road names especially on side roads....
I guess its the 2x faster Processor speed of the NAV5 (Wi-Fi) devices over the NAV4 devices that can cope with the displayed graphics....
Hi @driel24
+1... I agree the Charging stations should be added to the list of options available on NAV4 & NAV5 (Wi-Fi) Route Bar....
As a workaround, have you thought about using the 2D in direction of travel view....
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> Guidance view... 2D (Indirection of travel)
I always use '2D (Indirection of travel)' + Zoom set to... 'Based on road type'

I can choose a lot : fuel stations, extra stops, toll roads, camera's, ferry's etc etc.
Charging stations should be one of them !
Can somebody add this in the nav4 program ?

Adding to the list for Route Bar can't be difficult !
@VikramK please try to arrange this ?
I was hoping that the charging stations would have been added to the Traffic Bar.
But unfortunately not..... nothing changed.
It is absolutely silly that in these modern days EV stations are not shown in the Bar.
@VikramK can you give us an update ?
