I have been trying to load a personal POI file on to my device in the format of OV2. I have manually loaded the file and an icon file into the correct location but it does not show. It shows up on my previous device so not sure what I am doing wrong. Web site keeps telling me to import it via TomTom My Drive but it will not see my device to connect it. Any Help would be great. (Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Windows 10)

Hi @Martinshaw.
When it asks you to import the Poi file (.OV2) it means using the My Drive Website on your PC and loading the Poi file into your account. Then you open the Go Mobile App the idea is that when the App logs into your My Drive Account which you have linked it too then the App should update itself by adding any New My Places, Poi files etc that are stored in your account.
I have Mobile App version 1.18.1 release /1.18 (2169) on my tablet and that is how I load the files to the App. I cannot do it from the My Drive App on the Tablet. Also I have no option to display any of the Poi positions on the map unless I go to My Places and select the Poi file then it gives me a search facility and when I have completed the search if I Tap the Blue Keyboard icon bottom right then the Poi search results are shown on the map via an icon.
If you have uploaded the latest version then that uses different maps and so routes currently created in My Drive map will not work. at the moment.

The new 2.x TomTom Mobile app for Android does not support POI's (yet).
The older 1.8x version can load POI's but is not able to show them on the map like the TomTom Devices.2 -
Weird. I am able to sideload .ov2's on my phone with either 1.18.1 or 2.0.5 installed to:
\Android\data\com.tomtom.gplay.navapp\files\pois
Just connect your phone to the source and Copy/Paste.
True that they are not displayed on the map but that may be too much clutter. I just load them from My Places.1
