I have reset my go 6000 now it will not start up. — TomTom Community

I have reset my go 6000 now it will not start up.

I get the tomtom logo and drums, then the screen goes blank after the reset. It has power as its plugged into the pc. How can I get the latest software back on to the device?

Many thanks Dave

    Hi @tangoman65

The tricky bit is the 3 taps. Getting the speed right is the tricky bit.

Hi Doug, Tried following the steps in the video however, it just goes round in circles with the tomtom logo and drums and doesn't go to the white text. It looks like its screwed after doing the reset in the system menu.

    Any more ideas?

    Regards Dave

p.s. This all stems from the card reader not reading the micro sd card after the update this week!

    Hi @tangoman65

I assume you are keeping your finger down on the Button after the drumroll sound whilst you are waiting for the white letters.

If you have a micro card in the device take it out and try again

A Device Reset from the Settings.System menu should not affect the Operating system or the maps on the device at the time.

    Doug,

I took out the memory card and it went to the white text. seems to be working. Will see how it goes.

    Thanks
