Updating email address on Start 42

I've updated my email address and password on My Drive, but cannot change the email address on my device, email was for my previous company, I have left them, so that email no longer exists, how do I update it without losing my saved locations?

    back up your places on a computer using mydrive web-https://mydrive.tomtom.com

    factory reset the device and log in with the new account. add you back up of places from the computer using MyDrive web
