Extension of speed camera alert

JerryKJerryK Posts: 4 [Apprentice Traveler]
Please, could you extend the distance of the speed camera alarm. Now it is about 250 - 300 meters before the speed camera and that distance is today too small because of the new radar speed cameras. I propose that this distance could be chosen by the user in settings and should be at least 700 meters before the speed camera on the route.

Your right on top of a mobile speed camera before TomTom tells you

    Hi
    @JerryK @Layedbackkev

    Speed Cams
If you keep a check on the Traffic-bar... The device gives you a visual Warning of the next Fixed or Mobile Speed Camera many miles before you reach the camera
On the PNDs there's even more info if you set-up a 'Wide Traffic/Route Bar'

8kpcxoijwqgf.jpgFor a general improvement using the Tomtom Speed Cam Database over the default settings

    Always use a Computer voice...
Serena or Malcolm here in the UK
    Also....
From the main screen... Tap (.... Menu) -> Setting -> Sounds & Warnings...
Set... 'Warning Type' to... Read Allowed... (Important... Needs a Computer Voice set in the Voices menu)
Speed Cameras & Hazards... Set to ON
The next 10 Setting ALL set to Always
The next 4 Settings ALL set to ON
In addition the the normal warning sound the device will now say....
    'Fixed Camera'
    'Mobile Hot Spot'
    'Red-light Camera'
    'Accident Black-spots
    ‘Spoken Traffic delays’

When I drive I always keep the voices on as I many times listen music when I drive. When one drives 100km or more or is in a hectic traffic one can’t keep the eye on phone screen. The voice alert is therefore needed for the speed cameras enough before. Did you got my point?

I never suggested turning the Tomtom warnings sounds off ???
While the setting options on the Phone Apps are slightly different to the PNDs
On the Phone App you can still have a Warning Sound PLUS a Spoken description of the Speed camera types :)

Sorry, but your suggestion does not solve the problem and most of all your complicated settings make it even worse. I suggest you to take a course at Apple
