Right, thanks  Maybe the same thing is going on with the Canaries, eventhough Spain is listed.

There is one thing that is being over looked here:

    Unsupported OS system.

LineageOS 14.1 being used on a Xiaomi Mi5

Then there is this from the LineageOS site:
    c0158b44-1e14-4ae3-a349-977a6f5302ce.jpg

I understand why the use is using this OS

Maybe updating to 15.1 will fix this problem.

    But still Unsupported OS system.

    There is one other thing:

I have traveled all over Europe and have never changed my provider.
It is set to auto and locks on to what ever provider has an agreement with BASE that I use here in Belgium.

I do thank jgmioreno75 for posting this detailed info about his phone.

I don't believe so (old pictures and Fake GPS).

    Realistically, there are 2 hypotheses:

    (1) The phones (and software, carrier) described by the OP have some pathological common fault which prevents them receiving traffic in the Canary Islands
    (2) There is no TT traffic or cameras service in the Canary Islands

The evidence supplied by the OP favours (2)

The link kindly provided by EthoZ (thanks), which does not specifically mention the Canary Islands but does mention Spain, implies that (2) is indeed the situation.

TT could easily confirm this for us

In the first post, I give as an example my trip from the Canary Islands to Coruña. Between Friday and Monday I will put screenshots of Las Palmas-Málaga-Las Palmas. I think the problem is very clear that it is from Tomtom; same device, different locations within the same country but geographically very separated.

    Regards.

Before take off from Las Palmas.
In that moment the data connection was poor, but the remain time it was very good; it was causality in the moment to take the screenshot. Pure anecdote.

I will came back the Monday. I will be more careful.

For the community purpose, I would like to mentionen that last week on my Holiday to Lanzarote I was experiancing the exact same issue: No TomTom Traffic or Speed Camera services available.

    Phone: Nokia 8
    Android: 8.1 (Oreo)
    TomTom Go: 1.17

Please see my post at: https://en.discussions.tomtom.com/tomtom-go-mobile-and-navigation-for-android-156/tomtom-go-services-not-working-on-lanzarote-1040653/index1.html#post1238997

I hope you have spent a good holiday despite have not speed cameras and traffic warnings. It looks like I am not the one.

It was a lovely holiday and lucky for me I had other apps running in the background warning me about speed cameras.

Malaga is on the main land of Europe. I also never had any traffic/camera issues with TomTom Go on the main land.

But it's a good thing that you try to keep this topic open!

Can I bump this one up again....

Am using v1.17.7 on a OnePlus android phone.
And have the same issue: traffic info works via WiFi, but not the mobile network.

So is this still an issue with TomTom?

A show stopper for me if it is.

    I found the solution!

The problem was that my provider (KPN NL) supports IPv6, but not completely. The DNS supports IPv6, but I have not public IPv6 IP yet.

So, I installed the tool DNS66 to override the DNS address and disable IPv6 altogether. The DNS change enforces IPv4 usage for DNS. And in Android, I changed the APN settings to only use IPv4.

Apparently, TomTom Go checks the IPv6 connectivity incorrectly.
