Why is MyDrive avoiding mountainpasses?

I am planning a route for coming summer and I can not add dates to the planner. Now it's avoiding mountain passes. What am I doing wrong?

    You need to set the date for your Trip....
    Click on 'Leave' to open the Calendar
    (Some Mountain Passes are now closed for the Winter)

    Also note that you can not forward date a "Thrill" route as the "Leave: Now" option does not appear when "Thrill" is selected :( ( @VikramK a bug or a feature? ;) )

    Thanks for spotting that Niall :)

    I asked for some clarification and the got an answer that this is the intended behavior.

    Not sure why the team considered that date was not relevant for Thrilling rides :/ . Some improvements are on the road map but mostly for the road trips platform
