Sorry but I am not stupid. I have spent over an hour on a 40 mile motorbike ride trying to get the thing to work and the symbol; stays grey and the map stays the same only the route box changes the arrival time as the clock is working and it assumes I haven't left yet.

    Dear Road rider

Please accept my apologies, I didn't mean to be rude. I bought this as a 60th birthday present for myself, had it wired in before Christmas and this is the first sunny dry day to go out for a spin and the thing refused to work which is very depressing. I have just done what Doug suggested re the rest and the location symbol now shows blue so hopefully it will work when I try for another ride tomorrow. Thanks for answering my query .

    Regards
    Ian

    Hi @Ian5160

Pleased to hear you may be sorted. The soft reset is a useful thing to do after you do any updates and also do all updates you do one item at a time.
