Rider 400 support in case of rain (when the navigator is not attached)

can anyone tell me if in the event of rain without the navigator mounted there are no problems leaving the support in the rain? The two power contacts are very close together. Will there be no short circuit problems that could damage the bike's battery? Thank you

If your mount is wired to a switched live circuit - the satnav will start up when you turn on the ignition - then the contacts will be 'dead' when the ignition is off, so not a problem.

If permanently live, then I guess there may well be a problem.

I used a switched connection for my mount.

To keep the pogo pins in good shape I use a little bit of Vaseline.

To keep the pogo pins dry I also printed this rain cover
