    Hi @messcar

Can you please try again and check for the updates in MyDrive Connect by following the steps below?
    • If your navigation device is connected to the computer, disconnect it.
    • Right click the MyDrive Connect icon in the Windows notification area or Apple menu bar and then select Cogwheel > Settings.
    • Select the tab Downloads.
    • Click Empty download folder.
    • Click Save settings.
    • Restart MyDrive Connect to check for the updates.Click the MyDrive Connect icon in the Windows notification area or Apple menu bar and then click Quit> Start MyDrive Connect.
    Hope this helps!

    Regards, lampard

Thanks for your reply I removed the TomTom My Drive Connect from my computer, and then re installed the soft ware and this cleared the problem it is now in the process of installing the latest maps to my Via135 sat nav.

I re-installed MyDrive, However still having the problem that the server is busy.
MyDrive also corrupted my navigation system, since it removed the complete map.
result: No map on my device and MyDrive also not working anymore.
    :'(:'(

Log out, uninstall the application and download a new version from their website.

I did so, but without result.

    Hi All,

Anyone on this thread still getting the Server busy message, I would need some log files which will be needed by our Development Team to investigate the issue better.

    1. Enable the logs (from Setting> general>Enable MyDrive Connect logs)>
    ymelulu3w920.png

    2. Now connect the device to MyDrive Connect and check if you are able to update?

Do you still see the Server busy error?

    4. Here we will require the log file
    TO GET THE LOG-FILE

Make sure your MyDrive Connect is NOT running when you are making these changes.

    f7nyx7d96g8o.png

(Go to system tray and make sure you have quit the MyDrive Connect application)

    5. Then go to C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\TomTom\HOME3

    6. Open prefs.ini ….. Make logLevel=255
Also make a new entry with UrlQuery="?logLevel=FINER" under environment

Start MyDrive Connet > If you still see the busy server error, you can zip the logs folder found in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\TomTom\HOME3\Logs and send it to me through a private message.

    Thank you,
    Vikram

My TOMTOM GO 620 has a wifi connection but every time I try to get it to update I get the “ no server connection or server busy “notice. Usually takes a few hours a lot of frustration and annoyance to get the updates. I only need to do this every two years but would like to see the problem solved before I buy another TOMTOM

If you can't update via wi-fi, have you tried connecting your GPS to the computer and updating via Mydrive connect? https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013899580-Mettre-à-jour-votre-GPS-via-Wi-Fi-#h_01ECA4N0E36YQK2S7NJGN7PHPD

    Hi
    @Colinsleep1
    Welcome to the site....
Are you at home with your Tomtom Wi-Fi device connected to a USB port on your PC for a power supply + MyDrive connect running on your PC ???
The USB connection >> WILL << take priority over the Wi-Fi Connection....

Disconnect the USB Lead from your PC....
If you want to charge the device while updating it, use something like a Smartphone Charger and the Tomtom USB lead.....

Note... If you are using MyDrive Connect with the default setting then MDConnect Auto Starts with the PC....
I have disabled this feature using the MDConnect Setting Menus & created a Desktop shortcut to start MDConnect when required....
    ____________________________
    End

The Wi-Fi connected devices normally update using Wi-Fi....
If Wi-Fi is not available or is slow/unstable/unreliable.....
See Option... (2) Connect over USB....

TomTom Video... Updating your navigation device using Wi-Fi

If you have successfully connected your device to your Wi-Fi....
To check your Connection Speed, Signal Strength & Quality
    On the Device... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Wi-Fi
Tap on Your WI-FI name (The one Showing as connected)
    A new Menu Page opens

    7g8gwfpx1swt.jpg
On the left-hand side of the screen is your Wi-Fi Connection Status

Tomtom recommends a minimum Wi-Fi download speed of 30Mbps
    Tomtom NAV5 (Wi-Fi) devices will only connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
All the update actions are executed on the device...

    ___________________________

    Option... (1) Connected Wi-Fi

    zzb10t6jrg2v.jpg
    Updating the device....
Tap the 4Dot(.... Menu) --> Setting --> Updates & New Items

    Extra Maps are Installed/Maintained....
Tap the 4Dot(.... Menu) --> Setting --> Maps

I always update my devices one Update at a time
The NavCore Application and QuickFixGPS updates are force ticked by Tomtom... Deselect any other updates like Maps, Speed Cams etc... Update the mandatory item/s first, when complete update the remaining items one at a time

Note... NAV(5 Wi-Fi) devices connected over Wi-Fi do not require MyDrive Connect to be running Even if MyDrive is running you have no access the MyDrive Connect menu structures as used by the previous NAV3 & 4 devices

    Option... (2) Connected USB
If Wi-Fi is not available or is slow/unstable/unreliable.....
Tomtom recommends a minimum Wi-Fi download speed of 30Mbps

Connecting hard-wired over USB is normally more reliable than any Over The Air Connections
Updating your new device over USB will require "MyDrive Connect"
    Get it here..... https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013959499-Installing-MyDrive-Connect

There's no need to log in to MyDrive Connect... See Note... (1)
Connect your Device to a USB Port on your PC
    The Update will hopefully complete

If you're using a Laptop, it would be also more advisable to use a hard-wire connection back from the Laptop to the Router....
    _________________________

Note... A new version of MyDrive Connect has been released.....
    See.... https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/discussion/1130566/a-new-version-of-mydrive-connect-released

When using the latest MyDrive Connect, the menu flow has changed....
Now, when using the latest version of MyDrive connect to update a NAV5 (Wi-Fi) device over USB, it >> APPEARS << that you can update the device using the MyDrive Connect menu structure... When in fact this is >> NOT << the case....

Clicking on the update button only opens the new MyDrive Connect "Splash screen" saying "UPDATE DEVICE THE EASY WAY" etc...

The NAV5 (Wi-Fi) devices have no access to the MyDrive Menu structures as used by the previous NAV3 & 4 devices.....
    ___________________________

If you choose to update a NAV5 (Wi-Fi) device over USB....
MyDrive Connect only needs to run in the background on the PC Taskbar... You can close the 'Main Mydrive Window'

    em7rmo28tl38.jpg
That is displaying "UPDATE DEVICE THE EASY WAY" Splash screen...

    a1a9r6jyfdho.jpg
Updating a NAV5 (Wi-Fi) device... Even if you are updating using USB... The updating method is the same as using Wi-Fi....
All the update actions are executed on the device...
    Tap the 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> Updates & New Items....
If a Operating System Software update (Navcore) is required... Deselect the remaining updates, install the Navcore update 1st....

The Navcore Software Update is Mandatory, you cannot deselect the update....
    lvf6a0pjrt8t.jpg
    Then install the remaining updates....
I always install the update one at a time....
There's less chance of a log jam on the Server....

Extra Maps are Installed/Maintained... Tap the 4Dot(.... Menu) --> Setting --> Maps
