When will map of Japan be available on TomTom?

    Sorry to say but it is very unlikely due to the need to add all the kanji (Japanese alphabet) to a map such that it will be very difficult (slow) to navigate

    Many Japanese streets have no names, and almost all modern cars in Japan (including rental cars) have inbuilt satnav. With the inbuilt satnavs, the easiest way to type in your destination is to type in its telephone number. This system works surprisingly well.

    @Niall Then how do you explain the availability of maps for Taiwan and Hong Kong which are also countries which use kanji, in fact they have more than the Japanese do.
