I am trying to update my TomTom GO 610 with the European map without 3D buildings (about 7.6 GB). Unfortunately, it is larger than the storage space so I have to use an Micro SD card. I have a Micro SD HC 8GB card class 10. My TomTom GO 610 says that it is already formatted but the MDC tells me that I have to insert a card in order to get more storage space. But the card is already installed -> so I get conflicting information and cannot download the EU maps (without 3D buildings).
Can anyone give me an idea as to how to solve this? Is the 8GB for the MicroSD card a minium or can it be say 32GB?

You will need a Micros SD class 10 memory card which is 16gb or maximum 32gb. An 8gb card is not big enough and the map cannot be split between the Internal and Extra memory card.

A normal one will do . A Sandisk , Samsung or similar major make from a reliable source.

A new SanDisk 32GB solved the issue. Thanx for your assistance.
