Europe map 10.3 download always fails at 40%
I have updated the navcore software successfully.
Now, when I try to update the current map of Europe to the latest it repeatedly fails at 40% with the error message:
Failed to download content for your GO 5000 with ID QRxxxxFxxxxx
Please consult your network settings.
The URL is as follows:
http://download.tomtom.com/nav3/1030/nav4/Europe_with_France_buildings.ttpkg.
I can see that the file has part downloaded to 2,641,920KB but no further data is downloaded.
I have tried several options of the available smaller maps and I get the same message.
I have a 16GB SD card installed in my device.
Any assistance with this issue would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Did you Clear the MyDrive Connect Cache ???
The MDC Cache is deleted Manually, the cache does not Auto delete... And at 9.13GB for the Full Europe Map... Each download soon mounts up
MyDrive Connect running...
Click on the Cog Wheel Icon Screen top right
Click on the Downloads Tab
Empty download folder
Save settings
ATB YFM
Thanks for the response.
I cleared the MydriveConnect Cache using the system settings - alos verified that it was empty in Win Explorer (after I also manually deleted the part downloaded ttpkg file - see below).
I also cleared and reformatted the SD card - first in the PC and then in the GO5000.
I even tried to manually download the ttpkg file using the link in the error message and got to a similar status of around 2.5GB before the download reported as failed - tried this with firefox and chrome.
So I then disconnected everything & rebooted the GO5000 to drumroll, with a freshly formatted SD card I am now back at the point I was at on Monday - so I will try again this evening.
If you have any other suggestions then I am happy to try them out in the interests of doing something different to achieve a different outcome
Cheers

How much free space have is there on C: Drive
If disc space is tight... When you install MyDrive Connect you can point/install the cache onto another drive
ATB YFM
So same outcome again...
file stops downloading at exactly 39% and 2,641,920KB
To answer your earlier question C: drive has ~22GB spare - I'm trying to download the EU+France buildings which IIRC is around 6GB
I'll try once more and point the cache at my NAS then I think I'll have lost interest.
cheers
Ian
pointing the cache at the NAS with >70GB free space didn't change anything
failed at 39%
I'm now questioning whether my 'unlimited' broadband (Vodafone) has a maximum file download size, so I'll try to find another large file to download from another server and see if that behaves any different.
meanwhile I'll try to update at work - different PC - different network connection.
cheers
