Why doesn't my newly purchased maps update have map locations in them that google maps does?

Last week I purchased the map updates as advised by Tom Tom (see email below) but I am very disappointed that my updated Tom Tom did not include a new housing estate in Upton Wirral (Webster drive for example I was trying to find) and I had to resort to downloading google maps on my phone to find the address and route.

It made me wonder -

1 - why google maps has the entire housing estate addresses on its maps but my brand new updated Tom Tom maps did not -

2 - was it worth paying £35 for updated maps from Tom Tom which are out of date

2 - how many other new roads are not included in the updated Tom Tom maps?

AS I say I am very disappointed having to pay for maps which are not up to date. This is not value for money in any way whatsoever from Tom Tom

Can you please explain why google maps has accurate up to date maps but Tom Tom does not?

Can you consider a refund for inaccurate and out of date maps I have purchased

Thank you

Even worse - since I updated my maps it doesn't even recognise loads of older streets in my area - almost completely useless now and I paid TomTom £35 for this.
TomTom till haven't responded to my emails and complaints

I do deliveries and again had to resort to Google maps to locate local streets which TomTom does not

Thanks Yam - I wish my updated maps at £35 were as good as your sat nav

    Hi @yownow

What map versions have you got on your Via 135?

Thanks Yam. Exactly what I was doing last evening but it seems to be working just now. I am on deliveries again tonight and will see how it copes with the addresses tonight. Thank you

Device responds 'House numbers not available for this street'
The device offers 'Crossroad' & Underneath 'Anywhere'
    I tapped 'Anywhere'
Normally after City/Code: and Street: menu... The NAV3 Via device would ask for a house number
But as it's a New-build maybe they were still using the Plot-Numbers when Tomtom compiled the Maps ???
