My VIA 52 doesn't hold its charge

The battery on my Via52 doesnt hold its charge for more than a few minutes, it has been like this since new just over 18 months ago. Is this normal ?

    Hi Doug, Thank you for your quick reply, When in the car it is plugged into the Cig lighter socket with the supplied lead, its fine on a run up north but as I said it discharges within minutes. I will try and plug it in via the suppled charger to get a decent charge up. I am just going to check as I think I purchased an extended warranty. Ta mate

    My VIA 52 has never held a charge either, even when new. Ive always been able to plug it in though so didnt bother me too much but I need it to hold a charge now. Mine also about 18 months old.

    Hi @cmoggy

    When you say it does not hold a charge if you have it fully charged it will normally last for 1-2 hours when on. and disconnected from a power source.
